Most steel metals are coated in some way, and most common plating is chrome and nickel-plating. Nickel-plated handles and knobs are easier to produce compared to cabinet hardware in chrome. Both look very similar in colour, and it can be hard to make the difference. A perfect eye can tell that nickel-plated is slightly warmer in colour while chrome is giving almost a mirror-effect and is a bit towards bluish tone.
Cabinet hardware in chrome or nickel-plated coating are shiny and will be well visible in the interior. Watch out for fingerprints! The fact that they are shiny is seen to be an effect that adds exclusivity to the interior.
Handles and pulls in chrome and nickel-plated coating are glossy and very traditional to use in cabinet hardware. They are especially popular to use in bathrooms and kitchens where they are expected to match the rest of the interior along with water taps and sinks in the same coatings.
Choose between classical handles, cup pulls and modern handles as well knobs in the nickel-plated coating. Or maybe pick some of the most exclusive chrome handles, hand swept or wrapped in leather.
Cabinet hardware in the nickel-plated coating can have brushed or satin finish which makes them less glossy and easier to maintain.
